Super Shield SL

SUPER SHIELD SL (PC 1184) is a high performance, APP modified, bituminous, double reinforced waterproofing membrane. This unique seven layer system incorporates spun bonded polyester mat carrier as a centre core with an additional reinforcement of HMHDPE film fleece just below the top surface of the membrane specifically designed for heavy duty applications . The reinforcing cores are coated with a homogenous thermoplastic blend of APP (Atactic Polypropylene), distilled bitumen and stabilizers. The mixture is carefully produced under controlled condition to ensure its stability at high temperatures and its flexibility at lower temperatures. The careful positioning of the reinforcing cores enables the membrane to withstand the high thermal shock, to resist puncture caused due to heavy foot traffic or wheels of paving machines and makes the membrane completely impermeable to water. The membrane creates a homogenous layer with the paving asphalt or the concrete substrate, thus making the structure waterproofing chemical and UV resistant.

SUPER SHIELD SL with unique dual reinforcement are specially produced for heavy duty applications such as protection of bridge decks, viaducts, aqueducts, new roofing as well as re-roofing, highways, elevated roadways, bridge ramps, multi- storey car parks and other applications that demand a dimensionally stable membrane with high impact resistance and overall toughness.
