TWO COMPONENT EPOXY ZINC-RICH PRIMER
SHELLPRIME EZ106 (PC 2179) is a two-component priming system based on metallic zinc and epoxy resin which on mixing gives a metallic grey coloured liquid. It has excellent adhesion to steel or suitably treated light alloys or galvanised surfaces. It cures to a touch and highly rust-preventive coat.
AREA OF APPLICATION :
• SHELLPRIME EZ106 is recommended for priming exposed steel reinforcement/rebars for use with all grades of concrete and other concrete repair mortars
• It resists corrosion within the confines of the repair location and avoids the generation of incipient anodes in immediately adjacent locations
• It is widely used as a primer for marine and chemical environment as in pulp and paper mills, Refineries, Petrochemicals, Fertilizer units, Meal and Engineering industries
